Increased number of suspended driving licences

At the end of 2015 the Swedish transportation agency launched their statistics about the most common way Swedish citizens lost their driving license in that year. In the twelve month period, 34,726 persons got their driver’s license withdrawn and that is an increase of 1,1% compared to the statistics of 2014

The most normal way to get your driver license withdrawn according to the Swedish transportation agency is speeding and this is a problem that is growing every year.
There is one category that has grown drastically, with a raise of 34,2% compared to the 2014´s statistic, and that is repeating smaller rule violations.
Withdrawn driving licenses is raising every year, same with the population of Sweden but the growing of the both factors does not even up with each other.
The three biggest causes of withdrawn driving licensees in 2015 is according to the Swedish newspaper Expressen:
Speeding: 18 795
Drunk driving: 6 609
Medical grounds: 4 318
You can still see that drunk driving is not dropping in the statistics even if the police is trying actively to decrease this crime. This category of crime has a raise of 2,6%.
Withdrawn driving license is not an actual punishment, like imprisonment. It is a way to show you that you have abused a permission to drive a vehicle. Although you can get fined, which is a punishment combined with a withdrawn driving license.
