Prague from the point of view of Czech students

A group of students and teachers from IES de Catabois in Ferrol visited Prague last March as part of an exchange of students between our school and Arcibiskupské Gymnázium, which is a secondary school located in the Vinohrady quarter, quite close to the city centre.
During the days we spent there, we did lots of activities and visited many places. Some of the most relevant ones were explained to us by some of the Czech students involved in the exchange. Below, you can watch a video which shows some of the activities and the explanations our hosts gave us.

AN UNEXPECTED SHOW.

By the Erasmus + team from IES de Catabois that travelled to Poland.

On our recent trip to Bierun, in Poland, we went on a trip to the Beskidy mountains, quite close to Bierun. We visited Lesny Park, a nice place in the middle of the forest where you can walk amongst animals like fallow deers or some kind of goats and you can even breed them. As well you see some other types of animals in fenced spaces while you go for a walk in the park.

By Lucía Loureiro Cela (4th year ESO).
Javier Gómez Noya was born in Basilea (Switzerland), in March 25th, 1983, but he moved to Ferrol, Spain, when he was 3 months old.
Javier studied and started practising sports in Pontevedra.
He discovered triathlon in 1998. He made his debut in the Olympic-distance triathlon at the age of 15. Javi's evolution was extremely fast; he won practically all the triathlon contests in which he participated in his category.

Sicily: An island of contrasts.

Have you ever wondered what a trip to Sicily would be like?
This is what we found on our recent visit to the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea, an island full of history which wants to keep its rich cultural bakground at the same time as it is trying to meet the new requirements to fit the needs of the modern society of the 21st century we live in.

Through this series of photographs, some of them with comments, you'll discover a little bit of its history as well as some of the most important UNESCO sites on the island, together with their beautiful traditional music and astonishing landscapes and monuments.
You'll also have a look at one of the most important journals on the island: Il Giornale di Sicilia, which we visited as an important part of the project we're working on.

Exploring Spain

Can you remember a movie published by Spanish team at our blog in February? It showed the talk about Poland prepared by a Galician speaker Weronika Urbanik-Pęk for IES de Catabois students in Ferrol. Now, you are invited to watch video material from a twin meeting which took place in Bieruń. We were pleased to host the same speaker Weronika. She presented us a very interesting speech about Spain and Galicia. The information provided by Weronika was useful during our visit to Ferrol.

Enjoy the movie in the link below:

Weronika Urbanik-Pek: A Galician speaker.

Strange as it may sound, it's a true fact. This woman, born in the Lesser Poland voivodeship, can speak a really good Galician to our surprise.
