In an incredible trip to Rumania last May 2017, we, the participants in the Erasmus+ project: What's New on the News? visited many places that we liked. One of them was the television in Oradea.

The history of radio had been explored during our first mobility in Spain. The works, which were exhibited in Ferrol, are available on the blog.

'What's New on the News?' on the air, for the 2nd year.

Last February 24th 2016, a group of students from IES de Catabois and the coordinator of the Erasmus + project 'What's new on the news?' were interviewed at the COPE radio station in Ferrol, to continue with the series started in January 2015, during the first year of the project. Now, after a year and a half involved in it, we had lots more to tell.

 

It was a live programme with Ada Romero as the interviewer again.
This radio station has shown a great interest towards our project since its very beginning and it keeps in touch with us, collaborating in the dissemination of it. We are thankful for that!
 

Visit to a Newspaper in Kungsbacka

On October, 13th together with other participants of the exchange we went to premises of the newspaper "Norra Halland". The newspaper was found in 1921, when their first issue was released. Now it is published twice a week, on Monday and Friday mornings. A team of 17 people works there.

We belong to the generation that have grown up with computers. We set up the e-mail account when we were 9 years old, nevertheless none of us checks it on a daily basis. We sometimes use it to send a bigger attachment or a more formal mail.

Thomas Quick – Guilty or not?

Thomas Quick is a well-known case that has received a lot of attention from the media, even today. It has never in history happened that a man confesses to about 30 murders, gets charged and sentenced and then some years later released due to the lack of evidence. This is Sweden´s biggest justice scandal and there are many mixed feelings about whether he should be free or not.

Have you searched any piece of information in the Wikipedia resources for a last week? I guess your answer is probably positive. Wikipedia is the seventh-most popular website, because it is the largest encyclopedia around the world. It encloses over 4,5 million articles written in 287 languages. Romanian and Turkish versions have over 200 000 articles and Spanish, Swedish, Italian and Polish versions – over 1 million articles.                     

Creating so vast number of definitions was possible thanks to applying open-editable model. There are over 23 million of authors.
