THE DRONE INDUSTRY IN GALICIA.

The Rozas Aerodrome is a private aerodrome in the municipality of Castro de Rey, about eight kilometres from the town of Lugo in the north of Galicia, Spain.

It was opened on 4th June, 1943. It is generally intended for sports aviation. The ground where it's installed belongs to the Ministry of Defence, but the airdrome is managed by the Royal Flying Club in Lugo.

The aerodrome was built by the Germans during the Second World War, with the purpose of providing quick maintenance to the antennas of the radio beacon Consol.

Once the battle was finished, the airdrome was recognized as an exceptional place for the creation of a larger airport. It was an airbase for some time, where there was a military garrison for aviation troops. In 1949, Rozas Aerodrome became the Central Airport in Galicia and it kept this status for 2 years , while the Santiago de Compostela airport was being built.

The Eurasian Jay, an incredible bird.

There’s a bird called Eurasian jay (whose scientific name is Garrulus Glandarius) which shares a lot of common traits with the Erasmus Project we’re working on.
He belongs to the ravens (Corvidae, birds of the crow family) well known because of their awesome intelligence comparable to the mammalian abilities.

OIL COMPANIES IN CANARY ISLANDS

On March 18th, the Spanish government gave the Green light to a deep water oil exploration project barely 60 kms. off the coast of the Canary islands Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, where these wells are supposed to be and could yield as much as 100.000 barrels of oil per day.

Facing the actual risk of irreversible contamination that this activity implies in these circumstances, the Canary islands inhabitants say NO to this oil production in their coast.

MORRIÑA IS WRITTEN IN GALICIAN EVEN FOR A BRILLIANT PHYSICIST

As some of the most relevant media have pointed out in the last two years, Diego Martínez Santos, was awarded the Starting Grant (an award granted every two years) in May 2013, by the European Research Council (ERC) and recognized as the  Best Young Experimental Physicist on the continent by the European Physical Society (EPS).
     In spite of the fact that he got this international status, which allows him to go on investigating in the field of Particle Physics at the CERN, in Switzerland, and that, on the same date, he was denied the Ramón y Cajal scholarship in order to come back to Spain and proceed with his investigation here, this young scientist has made the decision to retun to Santiago de Compostela anyway.

INVASION OF LADYBUGS IN ROMANIA
