How beautiful Romania is! So many
wonderful places to be visited! So many
tourist attractions belong to the most beautiful nature reserves of the world.
We should be proud of our country because it’s the only country in Europe which
has all forms of relief.
If you are a nature lover, you will definitely love our beautiful Romania! If you wish to see many spectacular places, Bigar Waterfall must be on top of your list.
Founded
in 1982 as a nature reserve, Bigar waterfall is considered the most beautiful waterfall
from the entire world, as the Americans say. Bigar Waterfall is a protected
area in Caras Severin in the territory of Bozovici, situated in the south of
the Anina Mountains. It covers an area of 176.60 hectares and it is included in
the “Cheile Nerei”- Beusnita National Park.
In
2013 it was declared by “The World Geography” as being world’s most beautiful
waterfall. “Sometimes you see photos with a natural landscape which seem unreal
to you. So happens with Bigar Waterfalls which looks like taken from fairytales
… It’s a magical place” writes the American publication Huffington Post.
Water
rises from 200 meters altitude and it flows down from a rock covered with moss.
This waterfall was even compared to a scene from Disney’s movie “The Little Mermaid”.
It is Banat’s pride and it’s truly the world’s most beautiful waterfall, a
place that has become a wonderful attraction and it is worth visiting once in a
lifetime.
It is located near the main road so if you
ever happen to be around you must visit it!
