Visit to a Newspaper in Kungsbacka

On October, 13th together with other participants of the exchange we went to premises of the newspaper "Norra Halland". The newspaper was found in 1921, when their first issue was released. Now it is published twice a week, on Monday and Friday mornings. A team of 17 people works there.

The time we spent in Sweden

Our trip to Sweden will never be forgotten. Since the plane flew above its borders, we were amazed with how beautiful this country is. I mean, really. All we saw was forests, lakes, curvy roads and small towns here and there.  After we found the hotel in Kungsbacka, I was introduced to the family who was my host for the whole week. We drove to their lovely house, in Anneberg, a few km away from Kungsbacka. We chatted the whole day, and so I discovered more about Sweden and its people.

NEO-GOTHIC.

Neo-gothic is an architectural movement that started in the late 1740s in England. It became popular rapidly in the early 19th century, trying to revive medieval Gothic architecture, in contrast to the neoclassical styles which were popular at the time. This Gothic Revival displays characteristics from the original Gothic style, including decorative patterns, finials, lancet windows, hood mouldings, label stops and others.

AN INTERESTING SURPRISING TRIPSome students belonging to 4th year ESO at IES Catabois travelled to Copenhagen, in Denmark, and to yGothenburg and Kungsbacka, in Sweden, last October in order to take part in the learning, teaching and training activities organised in Kungsbacka as part of the Erasmus + project What's New on the News?
They visited many places and saw a lot of important buildings and monuments. In Denmark, they saw coloured houses, some streets with channels, boats, a tower called Rundetaarn and a lot of people riding bikes.
The coloured houses were amazing because all of them had a different colour.
