According to internetnewsportal phs.org.scientists working at Nasa and employees  of the international potato center reported that the potato cultivation experiments had been successfully completed on closer conditions at Mars. Nasa's Peruvian astrobiologist Juan Valdivia Silva and Peruvian farmers carried out potato breeding experiments under these conditions, creating maximum similar conditions to the atmosphere, air pressure and soil on Mars inside the Nano suit called Cube Sat.

Experiments have shown that the conditions on the red planet do not interfere with the growth of potatoes when water and nutrients are added in the required amount. In the simulator, conditions such as air temperature below zero, high carbon monoxide concentration, air pressure equivalent to six thosand of altitudr and light system similar to the night and the day at the red planet were created to provide the environment of Mars.
